Tuesday Tunes: November 5
Greetings campers!
The first Tuesday of November is upon us. Culture Cap’ came prepared with some magnificently melodious jams to usher you into the colder days to come.
In honor of Guy Fawkes Day: “Remember, remember! The fifth of November, the gunpowder, treason and [Tuesday Tunes]!”
Nané’s debut single, “Always On My Mind,” is a genre-busting lover’s ballad that will undoubtedly induce some serious head bobbing. The band’s versatile-as-hell vocalist, Daniel Sahad, leads listeners through an instrumentally rich track, laden with breaks and tonal shifts that make the song feel delicate and dangerous. Ian Green’s guitar riffs add spice to Nané’s rock and funk-inspired instrumentation. Nané may be a proverbial new-kid-on-the-block, but their debut already has my ears watering in anticipation for future tracks.
Combine a spacey vibe, raw vocals, and some bouncin’ bass-lines. The result? A bop that is oh-so-scrumptious. “What If?” by daste is a psychedelic soul track with lush instrumentation and dreamy vibes that entranced me within seconds. Daste, an Australian trio, perfectly execute an ethereal sound reminiscent of Crumb and The Marias’ jazzish neo-soul jams. Be sure to catch a taste of daste’s wavy new tune.
