Musical #tbt: April 25
1988- Bon Jovi and KISS manager Doc McGhee (you know, the guy Mötley Crüe fired over Bon Jovi beef) was convicted on drug offenses after getting caught smuggling 40,000 lbs of marijuana into North Carolina from Colombia. McGee picked up a five year suspended (suspended) prison term and a $15K fine. No more drugs! You did it Nancy!

2002- TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was killed in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras. Lopes was driving and died on site, while the other passengers, including several family members and her camera man, were rushed to the hospital and treated. She was 30 and reportedly working on a solo album, clothing line, and book. Oh, and a documentary on the healing powers of Honduran-based Dr. Sebi.

2014- Spotify removed Vulfpeck’s Sleepify, made up of 10 tracks of silence. Just nothin’. The band encouraged streaming the album to fund an admission free tour. Keep fighting fellas.
