Sea Sic, the on stage alias of Cassie Schafman, searches for herself with her newest song “Losing Control.” The P-Will produced track finds Sea Sic begging her lover for something better, layering poppy, heartfelt harmonies over resonant keys and trappy hats. Eddie C. Campbell was in born in Duncan, Mississippi today in 1939. He spent the next 79 years belting out beautiful blues for the beleaguered soul. Eddie came up in Chicago alongside frontmen from Howlin’ Wolf to Jimmy Reed before spending the 80s touring and living in first the Netherlands, then Germany. Eddie left us in 2018, but his music lives on to bring beauty to the blues in your day. Check out his debut album, 1977’s King of the Jungle, below.
