Golden Dawn Arkestra Live at Stubbs

Can you hear them coming? They’re almost here, their loud sounds crescendoing into the night far after festival fireworks dim. In the night. They came online mere weeks ago, and now, as the sweet summer heat wanes (hopefully.. Please. Oprah, God. If anyone can hear me, turn on the AC) the ACL Late Night Shows are nearly upon us. If my math and memory serve me correctly (not likely), Weekend One comes first. That means after Saturday’s shows shut down Zilker Park, the marvelously mystic musicians of Golden Dawn Arkestra will take the stage at Stubbs..into a different dimension.

If you’ve yet to catch these sonic cherubs taking flight, you’re in for a treat. Golden Dawn Arkestra brings light, love, energy, rock, a brass section, stirring vocals, and killer costumes to the stage. Plus, tickets are like ten bucks. That’s cheaper than a Space X flight, and they promise a much safer and sonically superior space odyssey. In their own words, “Golden Dawn Arkestra conducts extra-dimensional experiments involving space and time travel through the use of sound and movement.”

In my own words, Golden Dawn Arkestra look and sound as if the three wise men, their buddies, and their fearless female leader found acid and an ELO record in the desert and journeyed through a wormhole to deliver their message of peace on Earth. This is more of an adventure than a show; a rabbit hole romp through sound and color that takes audiences to heights previously unexplored. Get tickets now and don’t miss Golden Dawn Arkestra at Stubbs, October 5th.
