Method Man: Meth Lab Season 2: The Lithium
From Method all you’re getting is a can of ass whoopin’..and a brand new album. M-E-T-H-O-D MAN has been teasing this release for a minute or two, spending the fall releasing singles “Grand Prix” and “Wildcats” and absolutely crashing his verse on JID’s new DiCaprio 2.
After three years and two release date dupes, Meth Lab Season 2: The Lithium, Method Man’s sequel to his 2015 Meth Life, hit streaming services today. Hanz On, a longtime collaborator of Meth’s, curated the project which features 15 ‘Episodes’ and a handful of skits ranging from ‘Commercial Break’ to ‘Emergency Forecast.’
Laced with the gritty Staten Island sound made famous by Meth and the mighty Wu-Tang, the project features plenty of familiar names (Redman, Snoop, Raekwon, Nore). Meth most importantly uses his platform, prestige, and features to showcase up-and-coming Staten Island rappers across the album, shining a light on their skill and his group’s indelible influence on the game. Check it out.
